We enjoyed a fantastic 4 days and 3 nights at Disneyland Paris, staying at Disney Hotel Cheyenne from 3rd to 6th August 2022.
Hotel Cheyenne is lovely and quaint. Maintenance came out straight away to fix a fault in our room, the beds were comfy, and there was lots of space and storage.
The hotel shuttle was often packed, but it seemed to run more regularly than the advertised 12 minutes, so we didnβt have too many issues apart from a few rude guests. There was also a Woody character meet at the hotel in the morning, and I think Jessie appears sometimes too. We only met Woody this time.

A power bank, comfy shoes, ponchos and a few practical bits can save both stress and money during your trip π
Travelling on Eurostar π
We travelled from the UK via Eurostar from St Pancras. I booked special assistance and we were whizzed through bag checks and passport control.
We arrived about an hour and a half before the train, but probably could have left it until an hour before. We did the same on the way back, although it felt more useful returning to the UK than in France.
We also used the Disney Express luggage service, which was really helpfulβespecially on the last day when we could leave our bags and enjoy the park for longer.
When we arrived, we realised we needed to go to the hotel anyway to sort our priority cards and activate the PhotoPass, as City Hall wasnβt very helpful.
Disneyland Paris Food Review π½οΈ
We had pre-booked the Half Board meal plan and upgraded two meals to Princess Dining at Auberge de Cendrillon and a character breakfast at Plaza Gardens.
The food and atmosphere at Bistrot Chez RΓ©my was by far our favourite dining experience. My teenage son had the vegetable stew with plant-based meatballsβeven as a meat lover, he really enjoyed it. I had the roasted cod and crushed potatoes, which were delicious.

Captain Jackβs was our dinner on Day 2. The restaurant looked great and the food was nice, but it was very dark inside. I genuinely wasnβt sure if I needed stronger glasses or they needed a bigger menu font π
I had the smoked chicken salad and the chicken with prawns and rice. The desserts werenβt a big hit at our table though, and we tried them all. The cocktail, however, was lovely.

Auberge de Cendrillon was lovely too. I had the warm scallops and cauliflower, followed by the beef casserole in red wine sauce with the best cheesy mash. Again, desserts didnβt wow us, but we also had the celebration cake.

Plaza Gardens character breakfast started off really well. The food was the usual hotel-style buffet breakfast, which we all enjoyed, and characters were rotating around the busy restaurant.
Tigger was adorable and kept bopping his nose on my phone during selfies. Rabbit, Pinocchio and Geppetto were lovely too, especially as they noticed our Pinocchio tops.
One downside was Captain Hook. At first we thought he was just being cheeky in-character, but he barely let us get photos and hurried us along after one shot. It was disappointing enough that I mentioned it to a cast member, who turned out to be the restaurant manager.
To be fair, she handled it brilliantly. She offered us a return visit for the evening meal, but as it was our last day instead she sent us straight to meet Mickey with a queue jump, which really made up for it.

Iβm a total foodie, so I also need to mention the 30th anniversary snacks. They were adorable, and the beignets were absolutely delicious. I had the chocolate one and genuinely regretted only buying it on the last day for the train home!

Using the Disneyland Paris Priority Pass βΏ
As a group, we had two Priority Cards, and honestly they were a total lifesaver.
I donβt know if we just got lucky, because some people we spoke to had issues getting return times, but we were able to use the Premier Access line on nearly every ride we wanted and got on very quickly.
We rode Hyperspace Mountain four times. At one point we managed it twice in 15 minutes because it was my sonβs favourite.
The only thing we had to come back for was Stitch, but as heβs my sonβs absolute favourite, that was a non-negotiable. During the wait we just did another ride to keep him occupied.
My son has Autism and ADHD, so this made a massive difference. We also used the priority areas for parades, Illuminations, and even the hotel breakfast line.

Parades, Weather & Illuminations π
The weather was gorgeous, and although the parks often showed as being at full capacity, they didnβt actually feel too badβuntil the night we stayed for Illuminations. Then it was absolutely heaving.
Little tip: if you want to watch the show but donβt fancy dealing with the late-night crowds and tired kids, Iβm pretty sure itβs on Disney+. I realised halfway through that Iβd watched it a few weeks earlier at home!
The 30th anniversary parade was fantastic. I didnβt know most of the words because a lot of it was in French, but that didnβt stop us dancing and trying to sing along. Even the baby in our group was loving it.

See You Real Soon! β€οΈ
Iβm the type of person who treats travelling with kids like a military operation. Before we left, I made lists for priority rides, characters and everything else.
Well⦠that mostly went out the window, because we ended up just doing whatever came up and what we could get to. But somehow we still managed most of the things we wanted.
My main disappointment, especially compared with Florida, was the shopping. Main Street didnβt quite have the same vibe, and I was gutted not to find special photo frames or more retro Euro Disney merch. That definitely didnβt stop me spending money though.

Pin trading also didnβt feel as big as Florida. A lot of cast members just seemed to wear pins they liked rather than trade them, but Paris did have a bigger variety of lanyards and lots of lovely ears.
It was our first time ever staying on Disney property, and although it doesnβt quite have the same vibe as Florida, it was still magical and gave us exactly the Disney fix we needed.
Au Revoir, Disneyland Paris!
