🎉 Disneyland Paris 35th Anniversary 2027: Dates, What’s New & Planning Guide
Planning a Disneyland Paris trip for 2027? You’ve picked a very interesting year to visit.
Disneyland Paris officially turns 35 years old on 12 April 2027 – but there’s an important distinction to make.
Disney has not yet announced a dedicated 35th Anniversary season or programme.
That means special 35th Anniversary shows, character costumes, merchandise and celebration dates are still unconfirmed.
However, 2027 is already shaping up to be a BIG year at Disneyland Paris, with new attractions, returning experiences and major changes across the resort.
👉 September 2026 Update:
🎂 Disneyland Paris turns 35 on 12 April 2027
🎈 Wilderness Explorers Sky Swings opens during 2027
🐢 Crush’s Coaster is expected to reopen in summer 2027
🦁 Work continues on the huge new Lion King area
🚀 Hyperspace Mountain is now confirmed to close at the end of 2027 for its transformation back to Space Mountain – De la Terre à la Lune
But: Disney has not yet announced a dedicated 35th Anniversary celebration programme.
This guide separates what Disney has actually confirmed from our predictions, so you can plan your 2027 trip without confusing rumours with facts.
Last updated: 8 September 2026 – we’ll update this page whenever Disneyland Paris announces more about 2027.
🎟️ Disneyland Paris 2027 bookings are open!
You can already check hotel + ticket package prices for 2027, so there’s no need to wait for an anniversary announcement before comparing dates.
📅 When Is Disneyland Paris’ 35th Anniversary?
The date itself is easy:
Disneyland Paris opened on 12 April 1992.
That means its 35th birthday falls on Monday 12 April 2027.
What we don’t yet know is whether Disneyland Paris will turn that birthday into a longer 35th Anniversary season.
At the moment, there is no confirmed start or end date for a 35th Anniversary celebration.
So be careful if you see websites or social media posts giving exact 35th Anniversary season dates – until Disney announces them, they’re predictions.
✔ What we know: Disneyland Paris turns 35 on 12 April 2027.
❓ What we don’t know: Whether there will be a dedicated 35th Anniversary season, when it would begin, how long it would run, or what special entertainment it would include.

✨ What’s Confirmed for Disneyland Paris in 2027?
This is where things have become much more exciting.
Even without a dedicated anniversary programme being announced, Disney has already confirmed several major developments for 2027.
🎈 Wilderness Explorers Sky Swings Opens in 2027
A brand-new family attraction inspired by Pixar’s Up is coming to Disney Adventure World in 2027.
Wilderness Explorers Sky Swings will be located along Adventure Way, opposite Raiponce Tangled Spin.
It’s a flying-chair carousel with 48 chairs and 64 places, including duo seats that allow some guests to ride together.
The attraction will also sit within its own Up-inspired garden.
Disney has confirmed 2027 for the opening, although an exact date hasn’t yet been announced.

🐢 Crush’s Coaster Returns in Summer 2027
Crush’s Coaster closed on 7 September 2026 for the biggest technical refurbishment in the attraction’s history.
The project is expected to last around ten months, with Disney currently saying the attraction will remain closed until summer 2027.
If you’re visiting during the first part of 2027, this is an important closure to factor into your plans.

🦁 The Lion King Area Continues to Take Shape
Construction is continuing on Disneyland Paris’ huge new The Lion King themed area at Disney Adventure World.
The land will feature a major attraction and an immersive environment inspired by the Pride Lands.
However, Disney has not announced a 2027 opening date, so don’t book a 2027 holiday expecting The Lion King land to be open.
That’s an important distinction.
🚀 A Huge Change Is Coming to Space Mountain – But Not Until Later
Disney made one of its biggest Disneyland Park announcements of recent years in August 2026.
Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain will close at the end of 2027 for a refurbishment lasting several months.
It will eventually become Space Mountain – De la Terre à la Lune, bringing the attraction back towards the Jules Verne-inspired concept that made the original Disneyland Paris version so distinctive.
The refreshed attraction will include a redesigned queue, new effects, refreshed sets and props and the return of Steve Bramson’s original musical score.
Important: this isn’t a new attraction opening for the 35th Anniversary. Hyperspace Mountain is expected to operate through most of 2027 before closing towards the end of the year.

❄️ 2027 Will Also Be the First Full Year of the New Disney Adventure World
This could actually have a bigger impact on most visitors than the anniversary itself.
By 2027, guests will be experiencing the transformed Disney Adventure World, including:
- ❄️ World of Frozen
- 🎢 Frozen Ever After
- 🌳 Adventure Way
- 🏮 Raiponce Tangled Spin
- 🌊 Adventure Bay
- ✨ Disney Cascade of Lights
- 👑 The Regal View Restaurant & Lounge
- 🎈 Wilderness Explorers Sky Swings – opening during 2027
So even if Disney never launches a huge standalone 35th Anniversary season, 2027 will still offer a very different Disneyland Paris experience compared with only a couple of years earlier.
🎆 Will There Be Special 35th Anniversary Shows & Entertainment?
Possibly – but nothing should be treated as confirmed yet.
As of September 2026, Disneyland Paris has not announced a dedicated 35th Anniversary parade, fireworks show, drone show or character costumes.
We therefore wouldn’t recommend choosing your dates based on rumours of anniversary entertainment just yet.
💡 DLP Tips advice:
If you’re already planning to visit Disneyland Paris in 2027, go ahead and compare dates and prices. There’s plenty confirmed for 2027 already.
If you’re planning your trip specifically for the 35th Anniversary entertainment, we’d wait for Disney to announce what the actual celebration will involve before choosing dates.
📊 Will Disneyland Paris Be Busier in 2027?
Probably at certain times – but we wouldn’t assume the whole year will be unusually busy simply because Disneyland Paris turns 35.
Crowds are usually influenced much more by:
- 🏫 UK and European school holidays
- 🐣 Easter
- ☀️ Summer holidays
- 🎃 Halloween
- 🎄 Christmas
- 🇫🇷 French public holidays and weekends
- ✨ Major new attraction openings and special events
The period around 12 April 2027 could attract additional anniversary interest, particularly if Disney announces special entertainment for those dates.
But we’d still choose a quieter weekday in a traditionally lower-demand period over a busy school-holiday date simply because it’s the anniversary year.

📅 Best Time to Visit Disneyland Paris in 2027
There isn’t one perfect week for everybody.
If your priority is lower crowds and better value, we’d look first at quieter weekdays outside school holidays.
If your priority is being there for the actual 35th birthday, then you’ll want to consider the period around 12 April 2027 – but be prepared for extra interest if Disney announces birthday-specific entertainment.
And if you’re visiting mainly for the newest attractions, later in 2027 may make more sense because Crush’s Coaster is due back in summer and Wilderness Explorers Sky Swings is opening sometime during the year.

🏨 Should You Book Disneyland Paris 2027 Now?
You certainly can.
Disneyland Paris packages are already available for 2027, which means you can start comparing different dates and hotels now rather than waiting for an anniversary announcement.
There is one thing we wouldn’t do:
Don’t automatically pay substantially more for 12 April simply because it’s the 35th birthday.
Until Disney announces exactly what – if anything – will happen specifically for the anniversary, we don’t know whether being there on the birthday itself will justify a large price difference.
🎉 Planning Disneyland Paris for 2027?
Compare a few different dates before booking – moving your trip by only a few days can sometimes make a big difference to your options.
🎢 Ride Strategy for 2027
Whatever happens with the anniversary, good ride planning will make a much bigger difference to your day than simply worrying about overall crowd levels.
Our usual advice still applies:
- ✔ Arrive before the official park opening
- ✔ Use Extra Magic Time if your booking includes it
- ✔ Prioritise your must-do attractions early
- ✔ Don’t automatically join the longest queues during the middle of the day
- ✔ Keep checking live wait times in the Disneyland Paris app
- ✔ Consider Disney Premier Access selectively rather than assuming you need it for everything
And remember that Crush’s Coaster will be unavailable during the early part of 2027 while its major refurbishment continues.

🛍️ Will There Be 35th Anniversary Merchandise?
We’d be surprised if Disneyland Paris’ 35th birthday passed without some commemorative merchandise – but we’re not going to list products as confirmed until Disney announces them.
Previous Disneyland Paris anniversaries have brought collectible and limited-edition items, so this is definitely something to watch.
As soon as official 35th Anniversary merchandise is revealed, we’ll add it here.
🧠 Biggest 2027 Planning Mistakes to Avoid
- ❌ Treating rumours as confirmed 35th Anniversary announcements
- ❌ Assuming the whole of 2027 will be exceptionally busy
- ❌ Booking 12 April at any price simply because it’s the birthday
- ❌ Expecting The Lion King area to definitely open during 2027
- ❌ Forgetting Crush’s Coaster is closed until summer 2027
- ❌ Waiting for anniversary news without even comparing current 2027 prices
✔ Our approach:
Choose your dates based on crowds, price and what’s actually confirmed. Treat any future 35th Anniversary announcements as a bonus until Disney tells us exactly what’s happening.
