Planning a Disneyland Paris trip for 2027? There’s already plenty happening – but the actual 35th Anniversary remains something of a mystery.

Disneyland Paris turns 35 on 12 April 2027.

But as of September 2026, Disney has not announced a dedicated 35th Anniversary season, parade, nighttime show, character costumes, merchandise collection or special anniversary packages.

That hasn’t stopped the rumours, of course. 😏

So rather than treating every exciting possibility as fact, we’re keeping track of what’s confirmed, what’s genuinely plausible and what’s becoming less likely.

✅ What’s Actually Confirmed for Disneyland Paris in 2027?

Before getting into rumours, here’s what we don’t need to speculate about.

❄️ Disney Adventure World & World of Frozen

2027 will be the first full calendar year with guests experiencing the transformed Disney Adventure World.

That includes:

• 🚤 Frozen Ever After
• 🌊 Adventure Bay
• 🌸 Adventure Way
• 🏮 Raiponce Tangled Spin
• 🎆 Disney Cascade of Lights

Whatever happens with the 35th Anniversary, this alone makes 2027 a very different year to visit Disneyland Paris.

🎈 Wilderness Explorers Sky Swings

The new Up-inspired Wilderness Explorers Sky Swings is confirmed to open at Disney Adventure World during 2027.

An exact opening date hasn’t yet been announced.

🐢 Crush’s Coaster

Crush’s Coaster closed on 7 September 2026 for its biggest technical refurbishment since opening.

Disney currently expects the attraction to remain closed until summer 2027.

🦁 The Lion King Area

The huge new Lion King themed area is under construction at Disney Adventure World.

However, Disney has not announced that it will open during 2027.

Don’t plan a 35th Anniversary trip assuming you’ll be riding it.

🚀 Space Mountain’s Future

Disney has confirmed that Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain will close at the end of 2027.

Following a refurbishment lasting several months, the attraction will eventually return as Space Mountain – De la Terre à la Lune.

This is therefore a late-2027 development rather than a new attraction for the 35th birthday.

🎂 Prediction #1: There Will Be Some Kind of 35th Anniversary Branding

This remains one of the more sensible predictions.

Disneyland Paris opened on 12 April 1992, making Monday 12 April 2027 its official 35th birthday.

It would be surprising if the milestone passed completely unnoticed.

Possible additions could include:

• 🎉 35th Anniversary artwork or branding
• 📸 Special photo opportunities
• 🛍️ Commemorative merchandise
• 🍰 Anniversary food or treats
• ✨ Small entertainment moments

But that’s very different from saying there will definitely be a months-long anniversary season.

Disneyland Paris has invested heavily in nighttime spectaculars, projections, fountains and drones.

That makes some kind of anniversary addition possible.

It could be:

• 🏰 Special castle projections
• 🚁 A limited drone sequence
• 🌊 Something incorporated into Disney Adventure World entertainment

But there’s currently no confirmed 35th Anniversary nighttime show.

And with major nighttime entertainment already operating across the resort, Disney doesn’t necessarily need to create another completely new spectacular just for the birthday.

🎠 Prediction #3: A Brand-New 35th Anniversary Parade

This prediction has changed significantly.

Previously, we thought a new daytime parade for the 35th Anniversary was a realistic possibility.

Disney has now announced that a brand-new daytime parade is coming to Disneyland Park in 2028.

That’s important.

It makes us considerably less confident that Disney would also launch another completely new daytime parade for the 35th Anniversary in 2027.

Could there still be special anniversary entertainment or additions to existing entertainment? Absolutely.

But we’d no longer tell people to expect a brand-new 35th Anniversary parade.

❄️ Prediction #4: World of Frozen Will Dominate 2027 Marketing

This one still makes a lot of sense.

For many UK and Irish visitors, 2027 will be their first Disneyland Paris trip since the transformation of the second park.

Disney has an enormous new resort story to promote:

• 🌊 Adventure Bay
• 🌸 Adventure Way

🦁 Prediction #5: We’ll Learn More About The Lion King Area

Construction on the future Lion King themed area is one of Disneyland Paris’ biggest ongoing projects.

We don’t expect visitors to assume it will open during 2027 – Disney hasn’t announced that.

But further updates during the year would make sense.

We could see:

• 🎨 More concept artwork
• 🏗️ Attraction details
• 📅 More information about the opening timeline

🛍️ Prediction #6: 35th Anniversary Merchandise

Of all the traditional anniversary extras, commemorative merchandise remains one of the easier things to imagine.

But we’re deliberately not listing specific products as though they’re coming.

Disney has created special character costumes for previous celebrations, so this remains possible.

We think that was too confident.

Whether Disney creates an entirely new collection of 35th Anniversary costumes will depend heavily on how big a celebration the company intends the 35th to be.

🏨 Prediction #8: Special 35th Anniversary Hotel Packages

We’re downgrading this prediction too.

2027 hotel + ticket packages are already available to book, and Disney hasn’t announced a special 35th Anniversary package.

There could still be anniversary extras or limited additions later.

But we wouldn’t recommend delaying a suitable 2027 booking because you’re waiting for a special anniversary hotel package that may never appear.

This needs more nuance than our original prediction.

We don’t think simply putting “35th Anniversary” on the calendar automatically makes every day in 2027 unusually busy.

Crowds will still be heavily influenced by:

💷 Prediction #10: Will 2027 Be More Expensive?

Again, we’d avoid the blanket claim that the anniversary means higher prices.

Disneyland Paris prices vary enormously according to dates, hotel, room type and availability.

School holidays, weekends and popular seasonal periods can cost considerably more than quieter dates regardless of whether there’s an anniversary.

The best approach isn’t to worry about whether “2027 is expensive”.

This is now our biggest question.

The 30th Anniversary was a major celebration.

But the 35th arrives at a very different moment for Disneyland Paris.

And Disney has already announced another major Disneyland Park entertainment development for 2028.

Our current feeling is therefore that the resort transformation may be the real story of 2027, with the 35th birthday layered on top rather than necessarily becoming another enormous standalone anniversary campaign.

That could change tomorrow if Disney makes a big announcement.
