🏰 Disneyland Paris By The Numbers

Disneyland Paris by the Numbers and stats

Disneyland Paris by the numbers – some of the surprising statistics behind Europe’s leading tourist destination.

🎒 How Many People Visit Disneyland Paris Each Year?

Disneyland Paris doesn’t currently publish a simple annual resort attendance number in quite the same way the former Euro Disney company once did, but industry attendance estimates give us a good idea of the scale involved.

For 2024, industry estimates put attendance at approximately:

  • Disneyland Park – 10.2 million visits
  • Walt Disney Studios Park – 5.6 million visits (now Disney Adventure World)

That kept Disneyland Park comfortably among Europe’s most visited theme parks.

πŸ’‘ Can we just add the two attendance figures together?

Not really.

Park attendance estimates measure visits to each individual park. A guest visiting both parks can therefore contribute an entry to both parks’ attendance figures.

Is Disneyland Paris Busy All Year?

Definitely not. Attendance can vary enormously depending on the season, weekends, French and European school holidays, special events and public holidays.

πŸ“… Trying to avoid the busiest dates? We’ve analysed school holidays, weekends, seasonal events and historic crowd patterns to predict the quieter and busier periods.

🏰 More Than 445 Million Visits Since 1992

Disneyland Paris officially opened on 12 April 1992.

Disney now reports that the resort has recorded more than 445 million visits since opening.

Spread across roughly 34 years, that’s equivalent to an average of around 13 million visits per year – although actual attendance has varied significantly from year to year and was heavily disrupted during the pandemic.

🀯 Put another way…

445 million visits is roughly six times the entire current population of the UK walking through Disneyland Paris’s gates since 1992.

That’s hundreds of millions of walks down Main Street, U.S.A., countless rides on Big Thunder Mountain… and approximately 444 million debates over whether the queue for Crush’s Coaster is really worth it. πŸ˜„

🌍 Where Do Disneyland Paris Visitors Come From?

Despite being located in France, Disneyland Paris is very much a European destination.

Recent Disneyland Paris figures put the split at approximately:

44%

France

56%

International Markets

Most international guests come from elsewhere in Europe.

So despite the name, more than half of Disneyland Paris visits come from outside France.

🏨 How Many Hotel Rooms Does Disneyland Paris Have?

Disneyland Paris operates seven Disney Hotels with more than 5,700 rooms and cabins between them.

But they’re far from equal in size.

Which Disneyland Paris Hotel Is the Biggest?

Disney Hotel Rooms / Cabins Approx. Share
Disney Newport Bay Club 1,093 19.1%
Disney Sequoia Lodge 1,010 17.6%
Disney Hotel Cheyenne 1,000 17.4%
Disney Hotel Santa Fe 1,000 17.4%
Disney Davy Crockett Ranch 584 cabins 10.2%
Disney Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel 561 9.8%
Disneyland Hotel 487 8.5%

The percentages represent the approximate share of Disney Hotel room/cabin inventory, rather than the percentage of guests staying at each hotel.

😲 Here’s one we didn’t expect…

Despite being Disneyland Paris’s flagship hotel, Disneyland Hotel is actually the smallest Disney Hotel by number of rooms.

Disney Newport Bay Club has 1,093 rooms compared with Disneyland Hotel’s 487.

In fact, you could fit the entire Disneyland Hotel room inventory into Newport Bay Club twice – and Newport Bay would still have 119 rooms left over!

🏨 Which Disney Hotel Should You Actually Choose?

πŸŒ™ How Long Does the Average Disneyland Paris Guest Stay?

There isn’t currently a reliable public Disneyland Paris figure showing the precise average number of nights each visitor stays.

Disney does describe Disneyland Paris as a multi-day destination, with two theme parks, Disney Village and seven Disney Hotels.

For planning purposes, we’d normally recommend looking at what you actually want to experience rather than relying on a supposed resort-wide average.

πŸ’° How Much Does the Average Disneyland Paris Visitor Spend?

Disney doesn’t currently publish a simple Disneyland Paris-only average spend per visitor.

However, the historic Euro Disney financial reports provide a fascinating glimpse into how much guests were spending.

In 2015, average spending per theme park guest was:

€53.66

Average spending per park guest in 2015

Importantly, that wasn’t simply how much somebody spent buying Mickey ears.

The measure included the average daily admission price plus spending on food, drink, merchandise and other services sold inside the theme parks, excluding VAT.

The average spending per occupied Disney Hotel room was considerably higher:

€237.88

Average spending per occupied Disney Hotel room in 2015

That included the room price together with food, drink, merchandise and other hotel services.

πŸ’Ά What Would Disneyland Paris’s 2015 Spending Be Worth Today?

Comparing a 2015 euro figure directly with today’s prices can be misleading because the cost of goods and services throughout France has increased.

France’s official consumer price index shows that overall prices were around 21% higher in 2025 than in 2015.

So, simply to give those historic Disneyland Paris statistics some modern context:

Statistic 2015 Figure Approx. 2025 Purchasing Power
Average park guest spend €53.66 β‰ˆ €65
Average occupied hotel room spend €237.88 β‰ˆ €288

⚠️ Important:

These are not estimates of what Disneyland Paris guests actually spend today.

We’ve adjusted the old figures for general French inflation simply to show approximately what the same purchasing power represents today. Actual current Disneyland Paris spending could be considerably different.

🏨 How Full Are Disneyland Paris Hotels?

The historic 2015 report also showed average Disney Hotel occupancy of 79.4%, compared with 75.4% the previous year.

Disney’s modern corporate financial reporting doesn’t provide a directly comparable Disneyland Paris-only figure, so we’d rather leave the current answer as “not publicly disclosed” than pretend a wider Disney statistic applies specifically to Paris.

🏰 How Big Is Disneyland Paris?

The two parks are very different in size.

🏰 Disneyland Park

50 hectares
36 attractions
32 food & beverage facilities
36 shops

🌍 Disney Adventure World

25 hectares
14 attractions
15 food & beverage facilities
12 shops

Across the resort, Disneyland Paris currently lists 50 attractions and 82 food & beverage facilities.

Disney Adventure World is also continuing to evolve, so some of these figures will inevitably change as the second park’s transformation continues.

πŸ‘· How Many People Work at Disneyland Paris?

Disneyland Paris employs more than 20,000 Cast Members.

And the workforce statistics are almost as interesting as the visitor numbers.

πŸ‘· Disneyland Paris Cast Member Statistics

πŸ‘₯ 20,000+ Cast Members

🌍 More than 120 nationalities
πŸ“„ Around 90% have permanent contracts
πŸ“š More than 600,000 hours of training every year

β™Ώ More Than 232,000 Accessibility Cards in One Year

🌱 Some Very Different Disneyland Paris Numbers

Not all the interesting statistics are about rides and visitor numbers.

Disney reports that Disneyland Paris:

  • Reduced its drinking-water usage by 24% between 2012 and 2024
  • Recovered 92% of construction waste during 2023–24
  • Recycled around 15 tonnes of costumes during 2023–24
  • That represented almost 33,000 individual costume pieces

The resort also became the first European theme park with its own wastewater treatment plant in 2013.

πŸ‡«πŸ‡· How Important Is Disneyland Paris to the French Economy?

Disneyland Paris isn’t simply a large theme park. Its economic footprint is enormous.

According to a 2025 SETEC contribution study, Disneyland Paris has generated approximately:

€84.5 BILLION

in added value to the French economy since 1992

Disney also reports:

  • €13 billion invested in France since 1992
  • €8.8 billion paid in taxes in France since 1992
  • Around 70,000 direct, indirect and induced jobs generated
  • Approximately 6.1% of France’s tourism revenues since 1992

πŸ’‘ What does €84.5 billion mean?

This isn’t the amount guests have spent buying park tickets and Mickey waffles.

It’s an economic-impact measure estimating the wider added value generated for the French economy since Disneyland Paris opened.

Disneyland Paris Is Still Investing

Disney says approximately €13 billion has been invested since 1992, with another €2 billion multi-year expansion programme supporting the transformation and expansion of Disney Adventure World.

πŸš„ Disneyland Paris Is Much More Than Two Theme Parks

The destination also includes:

  • Seven Disney Hotels
  • Disney Village
  • Six Partner Hotels
  • Two convention centres
  • 95 meeting rooms
  • 18,000mΒ² of event space
  • More than 500 corporate events each year
  • A major TGV transport hub

Disney describes its Marne-la-VallΓ©e–Chessy station as France’s leading TGV hub for interconnections, linking Disneyland Paris with destinations throughout France and Europe.

πŸ“š Sources & Methodology

Figures in this guide have been compiled from Disneyland Paris corporate information and press material, The Walt Disney Company reporting, historic Euro Disney S.C.A. financial reports, French consumer-price data from INSEE and recognised theme-park attendance estimates.

Attendance methodologies can differ between sources, which is why individual park attendance figures shouldn’t automatically be added together and treated as the number of unique Disneyland Paris visitors.

Historic spending figures are clearly labelled with their original year. Where we’ve shown a modern purchasing-power comparison, this is an approximate inflation adjustment using French consumer-price data – not an estimate of current Disneyland Paris guest spending.
