  • Premier Access at Disneyland Paris – Worth It?

🎢If you’re planning a trip to Disneyland Paris, you’ve probably come across Premier Access and thought, “Wait, do I really need this… or is it just Disney’s version of a fast lane tax?” Great question — because the answer isn’t a simple yes or no. In this guide, I’ll break down exactly what Premier Access is, how much it costs in 2025, when it is worth it, and when you’re better off saving your euros for an extra Mickey-shaped snack. 💡 What Is Premier Access at Disneyland Paris? In short, Premier Access is Disney’s “skip the queue” service. You pay a fee (per ride or per day), and instead of waiting in the regular standby line, you get to use a separate, much shorter queue — the Premier Access lane. There are two types: Premier Access One: Pay-per-ride — choose from eligible rides, prices vary. Premier Access Ultimate: One-time cost for one day — lets you skip the queue once for each eligible ride. 💰 How Much Does Premier Access Cost in 2025? Here’s where it gets spicy — prices are dynamic, meaning they change depending on crowd levels and season.   Type Cost Range (2025) Notes Premier Access One €5 – €18 per person/ride Varies by ride and date Premier Access Ultimate €90 – €150+ per person/day Gives access to all eligible rides 🔍 Important: You can buy Premier Access via the Disneyland Paris app  or buy with your Hotel+Tickets package. Remember prices can jump quickly, especially during holidays and weekends. 🎢 What Rides Are Included? Premier Access covers the most popular attractions in both parks, including: 🎢 Disneyland Park (Main Park) Big Thunder Mountain (102cm) Peter Pan’s Flight Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain (120cm) Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast Pirates of the Caribbean Autopia (81cm to ride, 132cm to drive) Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril (140cm) Star Tours: The Adventures Continue (102cm) Phantom Manor It’s a Small World Note: Orbitron is available only with Premier Access One and is not included in the Premier Access Ultimate pass. 🎬 Walt Disney Studios Park Crush’s Coaster (107cm) Ratatouille: The Adventure The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror (102cm) Cars ROAD TRIP Avengers Assemble: Flight Force (120cm) Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure (You can see the full updated list in the app each day.) 🧠 When Is Premier Access Actually Worth It? Here’s when it’s a smart move: 🎒 Short Trips: If you’ve only got 1 or 2 park days, it can help you pack more in without wasting time in queues. 👶 Travelling with young kids: Waiting 70 minutes for Peter Pan’s Flight with a cranky toddler? No thanks. 🏖️ Peak Season: Summer, school holidays, and weekends are BUSY. Premier Access can save you 2–3+ hours in queues daily. 💸 High-stakes once-in-a-lifetime trip: If you’re splashing out anyway, Premier Access can ease the stress and boost the magic. 🙅‍♂️ When It’s Probably Not Worth It There are plenty of times you can happily skip Premier Access and still have an amazing trip: 📅 Off-peak trips: January, early March, midweek in November — queue times are usually low. 🧭 Well-planned visits: Use the Disneyland Paris Crowd Calendar and a solid itinerary, and you can do a lot without paying extra. 👨‍👩‍👦 Families on a tight budget: €150 per person can be better spent on meals, souvenirs, or another night at the hotel. 🎢 You don’t mind queues: Some folks enjoy taking things slow — especially with snacks or games in line. 📊 Pros and Cons Table   ✅ Pros ❌ Cons Skip the queues for top rides Expensive — especially for families Saves time on busy days Not all rides are included Great for short or first-time trips No flexibility — pay even if queues drop Stress-free experience Must book through the app only 📈 Real Examples: When It Pays Off Scenario 1: A 2-day Summer Holiday Trip Family of 4 visiting in July Queues for BTM, Spider-Man, and Ratatouille all 70+ mins Using Premier Access One for 3 rides each = ~€180 totalVerdict: Worth it to reduce stress and maximise time. Scenario 2: Midweek Trip in March Couple visiting mid-March, low crowds Queue times under 25 mins all day No need for Premier AccessVerdict: Save your money and enjoy the calm! 🔍 Final Verdict: Is It Worth It? It depends on you.Premier Access is not essential — but in the right circumstances, it can be a game-changer. If you’re short on time, visiting during peak season, or want a smoother ride-focused trip, it’s well worth considering. But if you’re visiting during quieter months and happy to plan smart, you can save that money and still have an epic time. 💡 Pro Tip: If you are going to use it, mix and match! Don’t feel pressured to get the Ultimate version — just buy Premier Access One for the few rides with the longest waits. ✨ More Planning Help Want to avoid the big rookie mistakes most visitors make?Check out my guide to 10 Rookie Mistakes at Disneyland Paris — Premier Access is definitely on that list! 😅 Also, don’t miss: Crowd Calendar 2025 How to Do DLP on a Budget Need help building the perfect ride strategy without paying a fortune?Join our DLP Tips Facebook Group and let’s figure it out together.

  • hidden gems disneyland paris

Sure, everyone’s heard of the big stuff — the castle, the parades, the jaw-dropping rides. But Disneyland Paris is full of secret details and little-known treasures hiding in plain sight. Whether you’ve been once or a dozen times, here are 5 hidden gems that most guests completely miss… but you won’t. 😉 1. The Dragon Beneath the Castle (La Tanière du Dragon) Yes, there’s a literal dragon sleeping under Sleeping Beauty’s Castle. And no, it’s not just a fancy name — it’s an actual animatronic beast in a dark cavern, and it’s incredible. Most guests walk straight over it without realising it’s there. Head around the left side of the castle to find a tucked-away entrance into the lair. The dragon occasionally stirs, growls, and puffs smoke. It’s moody, majestic, and weirdly adorable. 🧭 Don’t miss this: Visit at quieter times (like early morning or evening) and you might get the cave to yourself. Perfect eerie atmosphere. 2. The Secret Spot with the Best Castle View (Without the Crowds) Everyone rushes to the front of the castle for their photos — which is great, if you like dodging selfie sticks and elbows. But there’s a far better spot. 🎯 Head to the raised platform in Adventureland, near the Robinson’s Treehouse exit. You’ll get a stunning side-on view of the castle with barely anyone around — perfect for photos that don’t feature 17 strangers and a churro. 📸 Don’t miss this: Try it at sunset. The lighting on the castle is unreal, and you’ll feel like you’re in a real fairy tale (without needing Photoshop). 3. The Covered Arcade Walkways on Main Street If the weather turns (which, let’s be honest, it’s France — it might), or the Main Street parade crowd is too wild, there’s a secret passageway most guests totally ignore. Both sides of Main Street have beautiful indoor arcades: Liberty Arcade (left side, facing the castle) Discovery Arcade (right side, facing the entrance) They’re quiet, atmospheric, and full of vintage-style exhibits and models. Plus: dry, calm, and way easier for moving around the park when it’s rammed. 🕵️ Don’t miss this: The Liberty Arcade has a hidden exhibit on the Statue of Liberty’s dedication day — a weirdly touching little Disney nod to history. 4. Alice’s Curious Labyrinth’s Viewpoint The Labyrinth isn’t just a fun maze — climb to the top of the Queen of Hearts’ Castle in the centre and you’ll be rewarded with one of the most underrated views in the park. It’s whimsical, peaceful, and gives you a sweeping view over Fantasyland and beyond. ❤️ Don’t miss this: It’s a fab spot for taking photos or just having a quiet moment away from the crowds. 5. The Animagique Theatre’s Hidden Seating Trick The Animagique Theatre in Walt Disney Studios Park hosts shows like Mickey and the Magician — one of the best live performances in any Disney park. But here’s the gem: most people rush to the front, but the middle-back rows offer a full, straight-on view of all the stage effects — and they fill up slower. The perfect seat without the stress. 🎭 Don’t miss this: Sit closer to the middle than the sides for the best sound and visuals. And get there 30 mins early for the calmest experience. 🎁 Bonus Tip: Talk to Cast Members They’ve got stories, trivia, and sometimes even hidden missions or unexpected surprises for guests who take the time to chat. Plus, they’re lovely.(Especially if you compliment their badges. Trust me.) Final Thoughts Disneyland Paris isn’t just about the rides and big shows — it’s the little hidden gems that make each visit special. Now that you’re in the know, you can explore like a pro (and impress your travel mates in the process). 👉 Got your own secret spots? Share them in the DLP Tips Facebook Group — but only if they’re not too secret. We won’t tell. 😉

So use this list, pack smart, and save the extra room for souvenirs (or croissants). Got your own genius item you always bring? Let me know on Facebook and I might just add it to the list! Next up? Check out my 10 Rookie Mistakes to Avoid on your first Disneyland Paris trip — trust me, it’s a lifesaver.

  • 10 Rookie Mistakes to Avoid on Your First Disneyland Paris Trip Planning your first trip to Disneyland Paris? Brilliant! You’re in for a bit of magic, a lot of walking, and the occasional moment of pure, joyful chaos. As someone who’s made every rookie mistake known to Mickey (some more than once), I’ve put together a list of blunders to avoid – so you can focus on the fun. 1. Winging It With No Plan Disneyland Paris might look like a fairytale, but it rewards strategy. If you show up with no plan, you might miss big shows or spend hours in queues. ✅ Tip: Use my Disneyland Paris Crowd Calendar to pick your dates wisely and dodge peak crowds.   2. Underestimating the Queues A ’20-minute’ queue can turn into an hour if you’re unlucky. Queues are real – especially mid-day. ✅ Tip: Rope-drop your must-dos, consider Disney Premier Access, and download the app to check wait times.     3. Ignoring the Weather Forecast Paris weather is unpredictable. One minute it’s sunny, the next you’re drenched and wearing soggy socks. Our Disneyland Paris weather page will offer you a general guide. ✅ Tip: Pack layers and check the forecast. A poncho might save the day (and your mood).   4. Skipping the Packing List Forgotten chargers, blisters from bad shoes, or no adaptor plug? Rookie mistakes. ✅ Tip: My Ultimate Packing List has you covered — from power banks to plasters.   5. Thinking It’s Just for Kids Grown adults cry at fireworks too, you know. DLP is full of charm for all ages. ✅ Tip: Enjoy a cocktail at Skyline Bar, ride Star Wars: Hyperspace Mountain, or book a romantic dinner at Bistrot Chez Rémy.   6. Not Booking Restaurants in Advance Walk-ins are possible, but risky. Restaurants fill up fast – especially character meals. ✅ Tip: You can book restaurants 2 months in advance (or 12 months if you’re staying onsite!). Set reminders and grab those tables early. 7. Missing the Shows and Parades The shows are iconic. Skipping them means missing half the magic. ✅ Tip: Don’t miss Dream… and Shine Brighter! and the night-time spectacular Disney Dreams! — pure magic from start to finish.     8. Only Spending One Day One day? Good luck with that. You’ll be running from ride to ride and missing a lot in between. ✅ Tip: Two or three days lets you enjoy both parks properly. Take your time — you’re not in a race! 9. Forgetting to Download the App The official Disneyland Paris app is your best mate. It shows wait times, maps, restaurant bookings and more. ✅ Tip: Download it before you travel. Bonus tip — bring a power bank. The app loves battery so check out our mobile charging locations guide.   10. Trying to Do It All You’re not auditioning for Mission: Impossible. Trying to do everything will burn you out fast. ✅ Tip: Pick your top priorities and let the rest unfold naturally. You’ll enjoy it more and remember it better. 11. Not Understanding the Perks of Staying Onsite Booking a budget offsite hotel might seem savvy – but you’ll miss some major perks. Extra Magic Time: Enter the parks before regular guests — shorter queues, better photos, more magic. Early Dining Reservations: Onsite guests can book restaurants up to 12 months in advance. ✅ Tip: Weigh the savings vs convenience. Booking a Disney hotel means less stress and more Disney.   Final Thoughts from Billy Everyone messes up something on their first trip — it’s part of the experience! But if you can dodge these common pitfalls, you’ll spend less time faffing and more time living the magic. Got questions? Drop them in the comments or join our Facebook group. You’ll find loads more tips here and advice on the DLP Tips website — including the latest park news, hotel reviews, and planning guides. See you in the parks – and may your queue times be short and your snacks plentiful!

Disneyland Paris Foodie Guide: What’s New for Spring & Summer 2025 The birds are singing, the castle’s glistening, and your stomach’s rumbling—yep, spring has arrived at Disneyland Paris! And as always, with the changing seasons comes a brand-new batch of mouth-watering treats popping up across the resort. Whether you’re a die-hard Star Wars fan, a Doritos devotee, or someone who believes every holiday should include at least one posh dinner—there’s something tasty waiting for you. Here’s what’s hot (and delicious) at DLP this spring and summer… 🌌 May the 4th Munchies – Star Wars Specials Land in Discoveryland With May the 4th fast approaching, Disneyland Paris has gone full Force foodie mode. Starting early May, guests can tuck into limited-edition snacks inspired by the galaxy’s most iconic characters. 🚘 The Yoda Burger A green bun packed with bold flavours: juicy beef, pesto-infused gouda, grilled courgettes, pickles, rocket, and even crunchy sour cream Doritos inside for that extra galactic crunch. Weirdly wonderful—and it works.   🤖 Lemon Macaron à la C-3PO Zesty and golden, this lemon macaron nods to everyone’s favourite fuss-pot protocol droid. It’s small, sweet, and surprisingly refreshing for a spring park day.   🌌 Character Biscuits – Dark Side or Droid? Choose your allegiance with themed biscuits: Darth Vader comes in rich chocolate and white ganache, while R2-D2 packs a hazelnut punch. Available at snack stops around Discoveryland. 🌶️ Crunch Time – Doritos® Loaded Snacks at Overland Trail Café Fancy something bold, cheesy and a bit wild west? Overland Trail Café in Frontierland is now serving Doritos® Loaded bites, and they’re… outrageously good. Expect crispy nacho bases stacked with melty cheese, spice, and a good dose of DLP flair. There’s even a little backstory about a fiery stagecoach rider to go along with it—Frontierland always loves a legend.   Ideal for sharing (or not… we won’t judge). 🍷 Fine Dining Returns – La Forêt Secrète at Disneyland Hotel The recently refurbished Disneyland Hotel has pulled out all the culinary stops with its signature restaurant La Forêt Secrète, and it’s fast becoming the place to dine in style. Set in a fairy-tale forest setting, the dishes here are inspired by Disney magic and crafted by a Michelin-starred chef. The experience? Elegant, imaginative, and absolutely Insta-worthy. Some highlights to tempt you: Under the Sea – A stunning seafood plate with caviar and sea jelly, a Little Mermaid fan’s dream. Mrs. Potts’ Brew – Root veggie ravioli bathed in truffle-scented broth. Remy’s Ratatouille – Refined and flavourful, finished with tomato water and white balsamic. Mickey’s Soufflé – A chocolate lover’s fantasy with praline at its core.   Perfect for date night, celebrations—or just treating yourself because you made it through a full park day with the kids.
