Disney Newport Bay Club Disneyland Paris exterior⚓ Disney Newport Bay Club – Lakeside Luxury with a Nautical Disney Twist

Want a Disney hotel that feels a bit more elegant, a bit more grown-up, and still works brilliantly for families? Disney Newport Bay Club is one of the most popular premium hotels at Disneyland Paris for exactly that reason.

Set on the shores of Lake Disney, this big Cape Cod-style hotel blends nautical charm, relaxing lakeside walks, strong family facilities, and a much calmer atmosphere than some of the louder themed options. It feels a bit more polished than the budget Disney hotels, but without jumping all the way into Disneyland Hotel money.

If Sequoia Lodge is the cosy one, Newport Bay is the classy one that still lets the kids cannonball into a pool later.

🚢 Why Stay at Newport Bay Club?

  • 🏊‍♂️ Big pool setup: One of the strongest pool hotels onsite, with indoor and outdoor options.
  • 🌊 Lakeside location: Lovely views and one of the nicest walks back from the parks.
  • Nautical New England style: White, navy, polished wood, and a much more elegant feel than the value hotels.
  • 🥐 Great all-rounder for families and couples: It works well whether you’re doing rope-drop chaos with kids or a more relaxed grown-up trip.
  • 🛏️ Spacious feel: Big hotel, big public areas, and lots of room options.

👉 Best for: Families wanting comfort and facilities, couples wanting a more refined Disney stay, and anyone who likes the idea of a premium hotel without going full flagship.

🍽️ Dining at Newport Bay Club

The food setup here is one of the reasons people keep coming back. It’s got a nice mix of family-friendly and more grown-up options, which makes it a very easy hotel to live with for a few days. The official dining lineup currently includes Cape Cod, Yacht Club, and Captain’s Quarters.

  • Cape Cod Buffet: Easy family option with plenty of choice and a broad enough menu to keep fussy eaters from mutiny.
  • Yacht Club Restaurant: The more refined table-service option, with a calm nautical atmosphere and a more “proper holiday dinner” feel.
  • Captain’s Quarters Bar: Great for cocktails, coffee, and a quiet sit-down once your feet are threatening legal action.
  • Room service: Handy for lazy mornings or post-park recovery food.

Top tip: If character dining matters to your trip, do not leave it late. Those popular breakfast slots disappear fast.

🏊 Recreation & Services

Newport Bay is one of the strongest Disney hotels if hotel facilities matter to you. Officially, the hotel still offers pool, fitness centre, free shuttle, free parking, free Wi-Fi, and luggage service. Sauna and steam room are also currently available at this hotel according to Disneyland Paris’ hotel leisure info.

  • Swimming pools: Large indoor pool, outdoor pool, and a generally strong setup for downtime outside the parks.
  • Sauna and steam room: Great bonus if you want something a bit more relaxing after a long day.
  • Fitness room: Useful if you like pretending all that buffet damage never happened.
  • Boutique: Hotel shop with Disney bits and hotel-specific merch.
  • Free shuttle service: Officially included, although plenty of guests prefer the walk.
  • Free parking, luggage help, and Wi-Fi: All part of the standard onsite convenience package.

💬 One family mentioned the pool was a “lifesaver in the heat” and a highlight of their stay 👉 see their full trip report here

🛏️ Rooms & Suites – Your Seaside Retreat

  • Superior Rooms: Bright, nautical, and usually the best choice for most people.
  • Superior Lake View Rooms: Worth looking at if you love a good view and want the full Lake Disney vibe. Official room types currently include Superior Room and Superior Room with Lake View.
  • Compass Club Rooms: Premium club-level upgrade with lounge access and extra perks. Disneyland Paris still lists Compass Club as the hotel’s club offering.
  • Suites: More space, better views, and more of that “go on then, spoil ourselves” energy.
  • Family options: Interconnecting layouts and larger configurations make this a practical family pick.

Pro tip: If the difference is not massive, lake view or Compass Club can make this hotel feel noticeably more special.

🧭 Compass Club – Worth the Upgrade?

Compass Club is where Newport Bay starts to feel a lot more premium. Official Disney info still positions it as the hotel’s premium club room category with exclusive benefits and concierge-style perks.

  • Private lounge with breakfast, snacks, and drinks
  • Private check-in and check-out
  • Better room locations and views
  • A more relaxed start and finish to each Disney day

👉 My honest take: if the price jump is sensible, Compass Club can be a very smart upgrade. It gives you that “little bit fancy” feeling without the wallet pain of the flagship hotels.

🌟 Final Thoughts & Review

Disney Newport Bay Club is one of the safest all-round hotel picks at Disneyland Paris. It is stylish without being stuffy, family-friendly without feeling chaotic, and premium without hitting the dizzy heights of Disneyland Hotel pricing.

If you want a hotel that feels relaxing, practical, and a little bit fancy after busy park days, this is a very strong choice.

In short: classy lakeside Disney vibes, great pools, better food than many expect, and one of the easiest premium upgrades to recommend.

  1. Thank you for the wonderful site. The reviews and information is helping us immensely on planning our trip. Please let us know if any of the hotels have a room that can accommodate 5 people : my wife and me along with children with ages 14,12 and 8. Thanks

    • Hi. There are a few options for 5 people.

      Newport Bay
      Santa Fe
      Disneyland Hotel
      Explorers Hotel

All of the above have family rooms with 5 or more able to sleep in one room.

Sequiao Lodge, New York & Cheyenne all have option for connecting rooms although this can be pricey as you are paying for 2 rooms.

  2. I have booked a compass club room for September – this includes breakfast. Just wondering, if I book a half board dining plan for us it would include breakfast – this doesn’t make sense?? What is the proper way to do this?

    • Hi Aideen,

Sorry for the late reply. If you are booking half board you would get Breakfast PLUS an evening meal. If you book a room which already includes breakfast & then choose to have half board you should contact Disney and they will give you a reduced cost for the half board meal plan minus the breakfast which is already included.

      Regards
      Billy

  3. Hiya! Was wondering if you can advise on upgrades. We have booked a room in feb standard and what possible upgrades we could get plus the costs. Regards Michelle

  4. Hello, I have booked the newport bay hotel via booking.com and have not yet bought my disneyland paris tickets. Will we still be eligible for the extra magic time because we have not booked throught the official disneyland site?
Do i just buy the tickets in advance and then prove that i am staying in a disneyland hotel.
    Thanks in advance wendy

    • Hi Wendy,

Sorry for the late reply. Yes you will still be able to receive extra magic time. When you check in the cast member will explain it all to you

    • Hi Emma,

Sorry for the late reply. There are a few options for families of 6. You can book Davy Crocketts ranch but you will need to have a car to stay here. There is also Villages Nature resort. If you wish to stay directly on site then you would have to either book 2 interconnecting rooms or a club level family room at Newport Bay hotel. Other options are the Explorers Hotel which is a partner hotel.

      Kind regards
      Billy
