Family trip report August 2022
We are back from an amazing 4 nights and 5 days at Disneyland Paris. Travelled via Eurostar with our 3 girls ages 16, 12 and 5.We stayed at the Disney Newport Bay hotel which was really nice and the pool was soooo welcomed. It was boiling!
We had a half board plus meal plan. I had booked our dining when I linked the booking to the app and managed to get in the main restaurant that we wanted.
We also paid the difference for Princess dining at Auberge de Cendrillon restaurant. This was the highlight of our trip. Truly magical for my family especially my 5 year old. Please try to do this if you can.
Our Disneyland Paris tips
Save all your receipts for items purchased. Go to the Mickey case stand at the World of Disney store and they will process the receipts. Then take these to the kiosk at the Eurostar station when you leave and receive your 13% tax back. We got £40 paid to out account.
Blue light holders – with WDTC you receive 5% off. I didn’t know this so I called them and they refunded me £266!
Take comfy shoes as the amount of walking is insane!
Buy Disney Merchandise to wear. It adds to the atmosphere! Ears cheaper on Amazon – 20€ plus in the shops!
Buy water and soda from the supermarket outside the train station. 1€ cheaper than In the park
The app timings for attractions and characters aren’t that accurate – but it does give you a rough idea.
The shows have long queues ahead of their times – so make sure you get there early.
The hotel terror ride was open until 11pm (even though the park closes at 9) the queue is only about 15 mins after 9pm!
The Illuminations light show on the castle is literally breath-taking. You MUST watch this!
I took a pushchair for my almost 6 year old! It was a God send!!!
