For the first time, guests visiting during Disney Enchanted Christmas will be able to experience the festive season in World of Frozen at Disney Adventure World.
World of Frozen opened earlier in 2026, meaning this is its first Christmas season ever.
And let’s face it – if there’s one Disney land that doesn’t need much help looking Christmassy, it’s Arendelle.
The snow-covered Nordic setting should make World of Frozen one of the most atmospheric areas of Disneyland Paris during a winter trip.
You can combine the Christmas atmosphere with the area’s attractions and experiences, including Frozen Ever After and the opportunity to explore Arendelle itself.
✨ Mickey’s Dazzling Christmas Parade!
One of the biggest reasons to visit at Christmas is Mickey’s Dazzling Christmas Parade!
Disney has confirmed the festive parade will run twice each day during the Christmas season.
Expect Mickey and friends, Disney Princess Characters, festive floats and plenty of Christmas music.
Seeing it after dark is particularly special as the parade lights become part of the show.
👀 Want a better view? Disneyland Paris also offers a paid reserved viewing area for Mickey’s Dazzling Christmas Parade. Places are limited and subject to availability.
You don’t need reserved viewing to see the parade – it’s included with your normal Disneyland Park admission – but it could be worth considering during exceptionally busy Christmas dates.
🎄 The Giant Christmas Tree & Tree Lighting
The enormous Christmas tree at Town Square is one of the icons of Christmas at Disneyland Paris.
Standing around 78 feet (24 metres) tall, it dominates the entrance to Main Street U.S.A.
And it isn’t simply switched on once at night.
Disney says the tree will illuminate several times throughout the day and evening, giving you multiple opportunities to experience the moment.
Even if you’re normally the person who says, “It’s just a Christmas tree”, this one is difficult not to stop and stare at.
🎶 Let’s Sing Christmas!
Let’s Sing Christmas! returns for Christmas 2026.
Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy and Clarabelle bring some proper festive singalong energy to Disneyland Park.
It’s also a very useful part of a winter park day.
Why?
Because when you’ve spent hours outside in December and can no longer feel three of your toes, an indoor Christmas show suddenly becomes one of the greatest attractions Disney has ever created.

🎅 Meeting Santa at Disneyland Paris
Yes – Santa Claus is returning for Christmas 2026.
But there’s an important date to remember:
Santa’s Meet & Greet is available only until 25 December 2026.
So if you’re visiting between Boxing Day and 6 January, you’ll still get Disney Enchanted Christmas – but don’t promise the kids they’re meeting Santa.
Some Character Encounters use a Virtual Queue, primarily through the Disneyland Paris app.

Christmas 2026 isn’t just about Santa.
Disney has confirmed festive Character moments at several locations around Disneyland Park.
Look out for:

🏨 Christmas at the Disney Hotels
The Christmas atmosphere doesn’t stop when you leave the parks.
Disney Hotels receive festive decorations and seasonal touches, with Disneyland Hotel naturally being one of the most impressive places to experience Christmas.
Its location directly at the entrance to Disneyland Park also makes it particularly tempting for a special Christmas trip.
You don’t necessarily need the most expensive hotel to enjoy Christmas, though. If your budget is limited, I’d prioritise better dates and an extra night over spending everything on the hotel.
More park time usually beats a fancier bedroom.
🎁 NEW: Disney Hotel Christmas Boxes
There’s another new festive extra for 2026.
Guests staying at participating Disney Hotels between 5 November 2026 and 11 January 2027 can purchase a special Christmas Box delivered to their hotel room.
The boxes contain festive Disney souvenirs and surprises themed around your Disney Hotel.

Christmas is extremely popular.
But not every day of the Christmas season is equally busy.

⭐ Best Time to Visit Disneyland Paris for Christmas 2026
If you have flexibility, my first choice would be:
Mid-November on weekdays.
You get the full Christmas season without waiting until December when demand starts building.
Other good options include:
- ✔️ Weekdays in the second half of November
- ✔️ Early December weekdays
- ✔️ Sunday–Thursday stays rather than Friday–Sunday
The big mistake is thinking you need to visit close to 25 December for it to “feel like Christmas”.
You don’t.
Go in November and Main Street still has the enormous tree, Christmas entertainment is running and Mickey hasn’t looked at the calendar and decided it’s too early.
🚨 Busiest Christmas Dates
If crowds bother you, the period I’d be most cautious about is:
Christmas school holidays through New Year.
This is when you’re combining the Christmas season with school holidays, family trips and New Year’s Eve demand.
Expect:
- Longer attraction queues
- Busier restaurants
- More competition for Character experiences
- Crowded parade viewing areas
- Higher hotel prices
- Less flexibility with restaurant reservations
💸 Compare Christmas Prices Before Choosing Your Dates
Moving your trip by only a few days can sometimes make a surprisingly big difference to the overall price.
🎄 What About Christmas Day?
Disneyland Paris is open over Christmas, making spending 25 December inside Disneyland Park possible.
It can be a fantastic experience – but don’t expect a quiet little Christmas morning with Mickey.
Christmas Day falls right in one of the busiest periods of the season.
If you’re planning a Christmas Day visit:
- Book your trip well ahead
- Book any important dining as soon as your booking window allows
- Arrive early
- Don’t try to do every attraction
- Prioritise Christmas entertainment and atmosphere
- Remember 25 December is the final day for Santa’s Meet & Greet
If you’re travelling specifically to experience Christmas Day at Disney, embrace the atmosphere rather than measuring the success of the day by how many rides you manage.
🎆 New Year’s Eve at Disneyland Paris 2026
Disney has confirmed a New Year’s Eve celebration in Disneyland Park on 31 December 2026.
This gives guests the chance to see in 2027 inside Disneyland Paris.
Unsurprisingly, New Year’s Eve is also likely to be one of the most popular dates of the entire Christmas season.
If 31 December is important to you, this isn’t the trip to leave until the last minute.
🌧️ What’s the Weather Like at Disneyland Paris at Christmas?
November and December can be cold, wet and windy.
And Disneyland Paris involves a lot more standing around outside than a normal winter city break.
You’ll potentially be waiting for:
- Parades
- Outdoor attractions
- Character meets
- Nighttime entertainment
- Park opening
Layers are your friend.
I’d bring a waterproof outer layer, comfortable waterproof footwear, gloves and something warm enough for standing still after dark.

🚧 Are Rides Closed During Christmas?
Yes.
Disneyland Paris carries out refurbishments throughout the year and Christmas doesn’t guarantee every attraction will be running.
One particularly important closure for Christmas 2026 is Crush’s Coaster, which is undergoing a major refurbishment and is expected to remain closed until summer 2027.
