✈️ About Our Crew
Hold onto your Mickey ears – this was a big one! We travelled as a party of 11 (yes, ELEVEN!):

  • Me, my husband, and our three kids (ages 21, 19, and 16)

  • My sister, her husband, and their two kids (8 & 11)

  • And the true heroes: my mum and dad, both in their 70s

This magical trip was a treat from my parents – the sort of generosity that makes you wonder if they’re secretly hoping for sainthood.

🛫 Getting There

  • Flew easyJet from Bristol.

  • Flight time: 55 minutes (barely enough time for a cuppa and a nervous wee).

  • Private transfer: Prestige Travel had 2 spotless minibuses ready and waiting for us at the airport – €160 each way (return) for all 11. Worth every euro for the zero faff factor!

Tip: The transfer company was great at keeping in touch – emails and even a welcome phone call. You love to see it.

🏨 Our Hotel: Adagio Val d’Europe
This isn’t just a hotel – it’s more like a series of apartments. Ours had:

  • A living room with kitchen area (fridge, microwave, table – the works)

  • Downstairs bathroom and two sofa beds

  • Upstairs: double room, twin room, and another bathroom with both bath and shower

A little bit old in places but very clean and loads of space. Only 5 mins walk to the Val d’Europe Shopping Centre (180+ shops and a supermarket that’s a budget foodie’s dream).

Food court = massive. Three huge pizzas and a spag bol for €38. If that’s not a bargain, I’ll eat my Minnie ears.

Getting to the Parks:

  • Free shuttle: 10 minutes to Disney gates

  • Or hop on the train at Val d’Europe – just one stop and €2 to Disneyland Paris!

Family Hack:
We stocked up on breakfast bits, snacks, baguettes, cheese, crisps, and… wine. €100 sorted us for the whole stay, and yes, we finished every drop.

🌆 Central Paris for the Day

  • Hopped on the RER: €7 each way from the shopping centre, 40 minutes to Paris.

  • Did the hop-on hop-off river cruise with Batobus – the best way to see Paris without breaking a sweat. Nine stops, loads of sights, and barely a moan from the kids.

🎢 In the Parks – Three Days of Magic
We pre-booked 3-day park passes. Here’s how we split our days:

Top Tips for Surviving (and Thriving):

  • Fireworks: Best spot is to the right of the castle (exit Discoveryland and lean against the fence). Less crowded, something to lean on, and a perfect view.

  • Save Money: Bring empty water bottles – fill them up at the fountains in the park. It’s basically free gold.

  • Snacks: Bring your own picnics and snacks for queuing. More time for rides, less time spent queuing for chips.

  • Marvel Avengers Campus: Open until 10:30pm. Go late – barely any queues after 9pm.

🍔 Foodie Review: PYM Kitchen
We only did one ‘proper’ sit-down meal in the parks – PYM Kitchen, and here’s the lowdown:

  • Prebooked via the app (€42 pp including a soft drink)

  • It’s an all-you-can-eat buffet with MASSIVE burgers and hot dogs, loads of salads, salmon, belly pork, and desserts

  • Theming is fab, food is hot and tasty, but… for €200 for five of us, it was good, not mind-blowing

  • In short: worth it for the Marvel vibes, but you’re mostly paying for the setting

💡 How We Made It Work (and Actually Enjoyed Ourselves)

  • Big group (ages 8 to 73), so we went with the flow

  • No over-planning or running around – we just wandered, did rides as we found them, and soaked it all up

  • Accidentally caught the 30th Anniversary show and the parade. Sometimes magic just finds you

  • Managed every must-do ride (some twice!) and avoided any major meltdowns

 Golden Rule:
Don’t overthink, don’t over-plan. You’re here for a holiday, not an Olympic time trial. Breathe, laugh, take silly photos, and enjoy every moment – tired feet and all.
