Ride Restrictions

Disneyland Paris Ride Restrictions

As with all theme parks you can expect to find some restrictions in place on rides for the safety of guests. Most of the larger “Thrill Rides” such as Space Mountain & Indiana Jones Rollercoasters have obvious restrictions due to the nature of the rides.

ride restrictions dlpYou should also pay attention to some restrictions on the more family friendly rides such as Autopia & Orbitron. At the entrance to every ride there are clear signs letting you know what the restrictions are & if you are unsure then please ask a Cast Member who will be happy to help.

Disneyland Paris Minimum Height Restrictions

Below we have listed all of the rides which require a minimum height to ride. The height restriction is strictly adhered to and Cast Members will check at the entrance of the ride and again at the ride itself, so please don’t try and sneak through because the rules are there for YOUR safety !

You must be at least the height below to ride :

81cm / 31″

  • Toy Soldiers Parachute Drop
  • Flying Carpets over Agrabah

102cm / 40″

  • Star Tours
  • Twilight Zone Tower of Terror
  • Big Thunder Mountain

107cm / 42″

  • Crush’s Coaster

120cm / 47″

  • RC Racer
  • Avengers Assemble : Flight Force

132cm / 52″

  • Autopia (Drive alone)
  • Space Mountain

140cm / 55″

  • Indiana Jones & the Temple of Peril

Weight or Size Restrictions

Comfort and enjoyment should be a top priority of course. Disneyland Paris understands this too and so almost all of their rides are suited for people of all sizes, however there are a few exceptions. Don’t worry about “Will I be too big to ride this?” or “Am I too tall to fit in these seats?”. We have listed below all rides which may cause an issue but the general rule is that if you can fit in an Aeroplane seat then you should have no issues fitting most rides :

Getting in and out of the rides can sometimes be an issue on the below rides which have fairly low or narrow seating or due to the ride harnesses :

  • Orbitron
  • Autopia
  • Space Mountain
  • Indiana Jones & the Temple of Peril
  • RC Racer
  • Crush’s Coaster

Rides which are suitable for all sizes where you will be able to have maximum comfort due to wide seating are :

  • Snow White
  • Spiderman W.E.B Adventure
  • Pinocchio
  • Ratatouille
  • Big Thunder Mountain
  • Peter Pan
  • It’s a Small World
  • Haunted Mansion
  • Buzz Lightyears Laser Blast
  • Storybook Glen
  • Tower of Terror
  • Studio Tram Tours

There are also many, many shows such as Frozen Celebration, Disney Jr & Stitch Live!. That’s not to mention the character meets, Daily Parades & Shows going on throughout your stay at Disneyland Paris. Size really is not as big an issue as people get themselves worked up about!

Age Restrictions

Disneyland is for all ages, of course, but for safety reasons it makes sense that all children UNDER 7 must be accompanied on all rides. There are also a number of rides which are not recommended or restricted (Check safety notices at entrance or ask CM) for young children which we have detailed below.

Age restrictions are NOT enforced by Cast Members & are only here as a guide for parents/guardians. You will know your child’s capabilities better than anyone! :

Minimum 1 Year Old

  • Orbitron
  • Autopia (Driver minimum 7yrs old)
  • Dumbo
  • Casey Jr Train

Minimum 3 Year Old

  • Star Tours
  • Big Thunder Mountain
  • Twilight Zone Tower of Terror

Minimum 8 Year Old

  • Indiana Jones & the Temple of Peril
  • Crush’s Coaster
  • Space Mountain
  • Avengers Assemble : Flight Force

Medical Restrictions

Sometimes when travelling to Disneyland Paris there are people with health issues or medical conditions which can limit the rides they can go on. Again this is purely for YOUR safety so please think carefully! If you suffer from back or neck problems then going on a fast, twisting rollercoaster may not be the best idea. Again, if you are unsure then ask a CM at the entrance and check the many safety notices & videos on each entrance.

For pregnant women it is also a good idea to choose your rides carefully and avoid certain rides. If you do have a medical issue such as back pain, neck problems or issues with your heart or blood pressure then try to avoid these rides :

  • Space Mountain
  • Crush’s Coaster
  • Twilight Zone Tower of Terror
  • Avengers Assemble : Flight Force
  • Indiana Jones & the Temple of Peril
  • RC Racer
  • Star Tours

If you need medical assistance at any time then Disneyland Paris has First Aid stations in all areas and you can check our DLP First Aid Advice Page for more details.

DLP Tips

If you have a back/rucksack or similar then these can be taken on most rides. The Cast Member will alert you if they need to be removed or placed in a certain place before riding

Don’t be embarrassed to ask if you are unsure. The Cast Members are there to help and won’t judge you at all !

Some of the thrill rides and attractions may seem exciting to children but it’s always a good idea to ride first if possible so you know whether or not the ride is suitable for your child

If your child is afraid of explosions, fire  or loud noises then try to avoid Cars Road Trip & Moteurs – Action Stunt Show.

Sufferers of Motion Sickness should be aware that Crush’s Coaster cars can spin wildly during riding and cause nausea.
